Nimovex ("we", "us") builds apps for merchants on the Shopify platform. This policy explains what information our apps collect when a merchant installs them, how we use it, and the choices merchants and their customers have.
Information we collect
When you install one of our apps, we automatically access certain information from your Shopify account through the Shopify API:
- Store information — shop name, domain, email, currency and timezone.
- Product information — products and variants you choose to use with the app.
- Customer information — for Nimovex Bidding Now, the name and email of shoppers who place bids, so we can show bid history, notify bidders and create the winner's order.
- Order information — draft orders and orders created from winning bids and second-chance offers.
We do not collect payment card details. All payments are processed by Shopify.
How we use information
- To provide the app's features, such as running auctions, sending bid and offer emails, and tracking winner payment.
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
- To improve the reliability and performance of our apps.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run our apps (such as hosting and email delivery), under contracts that require them to protect it, or when required by law.
Data retention
We keep store data while the app is installed. After you uninstall, we delete your store data within 30 days.
Your rights and GDPR requests
We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:
- customers/data_request — we provide the data we hold about a customer to the merchant.
- customers/redact — we delete the data we hold about a customer.
- shop/redact — we delete all store data 48 hours after uninstall.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or California, you may have additional rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Contact the merchant you shopped with, or contact us directly.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored on infrastructure with access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
